This amazingly diverse group of people work together during the first 6 months of the year to curate this programme, make films, lead discussions, design the fashion parade, host creative work shops and produce the whole event.
The festival opens for the first time with a pedal powered drumming performance and African fashion parade! We also experimented for the first time and developed an exhibition combining art and photography! We had a lot of fun and have full house in all screenings! highlights of the festival include Ajami by Scandar Copti, Yaron Shani, District 9 by Neill Blomkamp and Last Train Home by Lixin Fan.
back to topIn 2009, we had so much fun; we rolled the red carpet and young people from around the world presented films made them, an amazing photo exhibition and different performances. On the next two days of the festival we presented a great programme of films about refuge and displacement and participated on different visual creative workshops at delegates centre. Hightlights include: Sling Shots Hip Hop by Jackie Reem Salloum and persepolis by Marianne Satrappi
